Killing Mayberry - Softcover

Inhaltsangabe

Mayor Buck Tipton is missing.

It's the worst thing to happen to the charming, Mayberry-esque town of Smiling Skull in decades. It may also be the thing that finally breaks it.

Aloof and eccentric Detective Dutch Stanley is called in to find the mayor. Against his better judgment, he becomes attached to the town and its people.

Smiling Skull is full of unforgettable citizens: a teenage cult gathering in the woods, a disgraced Jeopardy! champion obsessed with collecting puppets, a philosopher-artist living in an alley with her cat, to name a few.

Dutch quickly realizes this isn't going to be a cut-and-dried missing persons case...

Especially when he discovers that Buck Tipton is a dog.

Killing Mayberry is a hangout, existential, procedural, drama that balances humor and tragedy, grief and possibility, the procedural and the personal.
