Inhaltsangabe

At fifteen, I discovered I was pregnant.

Two pink lines on a pregnancy test were enough to change everything: my family, my school, my relationship with Alex, my plans for the future, and the way I looked at myself.

Mother at Fifteen: How I Survived a Teenage Pregnancy is my story.

I do not tell it to romanticise teenage motherhood, nor to encourage anyone to live through something similar. Becoming a mother so young was not a romantic adventure or a proof of love. It was difficult, frightening, and full of doubts. There were moments when I felt my life had broken before I had even begun to build it.

For a long time, I believed I had lost my adolescence, my future, and the chance to become the person I had imagined. But life, even when it becomes complicated, does not always end where we think it does.

In these pages, I share the shock of the news, my family’s reaction, the looks and whispers at school, the pregnancy, the birth, the first years of motherhood, and the effort to keep studying while learning how to care for a child.

I also write about love: the imperfect, frightened, real love of two teenagers who had to grow up too quickly. The support of a family that, through mistakes and tears, eventually stood beside me. And the quiet strength that appears, little by little, when you discover that you can still keep going.

This book is not a lesson. It is a testimony.

It is the story of a fall, but also of a reconstruction. The story of a girl who had to become a mother, and of a mother who, little by little, learned how to live again.
