The Translator (Two Great Yogis, Band 1) - Softcover

Inhaltsangabe

A hot-tempered Montana sheep rancher trades his whole inheritance for gold and crosses the Atlantic in 1928 to find the man who knows where the mind comes from. His search spans three journeys and sixty years, and it is guided by a wife who may be something more than human.
The Translator reimagines the life of Marpa, the eleventh-century Tibetan teacher, as a twentieth-century American story. It moves from the Bitterroot to occupied France and from the Spanish Civil War to the salt marshes of the Camargue. It is a novel about grief, marriage, and anger. It is also about the one thing that was never born and so cannot be lost.
