Uncaged: 18 Short Stories - Softcover

Inhaltsangabe

This is the fourth book of short stories from local writer Noel Spence. Fifteen of them are new, while Alibi and Plague appeared as bonus additions in the 2012 second impression of Secrets, his original collection first published in 1999. Uncaged bears the stylistic and narrative hallmarks of all eighty stories that make up the four books: easy readability, a wide variety of characters and situations, surprise endings, and a relentless authorial interest in the minds, motivations and behaviour of the uncaged, whether let loose and on the prowl, or set free from various forms of restraint and captivity. A pervasive underlying note is the detached humour that lightens all but the darkest tales. Readers who have enjoyed Secrets, Lies and Luck, and On the Edge will not be disappointed by the seventeen stories turned loose in Uncaged.
