Auf geht's zu unserer musikalischen Reise durch einige Länder unserer Erde. Sieben beliebte und bekannte Songs geben einen Eindruck von der musikalischen Vielfalt der Völker. Wir starten unsere Songreise in Irland, reisen nach Schottland, Spanien, die Türkei, Albanien und erreichen dann die U.S.A. Wir beenden unseren Musik-Trip in Deutschland. Die Songs sind in der ersten Stimme relativ einfach zu spielen, da nur leere Bass-Saiten vorkommen. Damit du nicht immer in den selben Tonarten spielen mußt (bedingt durch die leeren Saiten), versuche die Stücke mit Hilfe eines Kapodasters vorzutragen. Dies klingt auch für deine Zuhörer interessanter. Alle Songs können allein gespielt werden. Wer Lust hat, dich auf der Gitarre zu begleiten, findet eine zweite Stimme (etwas kleiner gedruckt) unter den Noten. Frage deinen Lehrer oder einen Mitspieler, ob Ihr die Stücke gemeinsam vortragen könnt. Um die Songs auch in einer Gruppe zu spielen, habe ich zusätzlich Akkord-Diagramme angegeben. Im Schlußteil dieser Ausgabe findest du eine Info-Line. Dort steht Wissenswertes und Interessantes über die Songs. Altogether we shall be stopping off in seven of them; this will give you an impression of the variety of musical styles, which have emerged from different cultures. We shall be starting our journey in Ireland, from where we will travel to Scotland and then on to the United States via Spain, Turkey and Albania until we arrive at our final destination, which will be Germany. The top parts of the songs are relatively simple to play, as they merely comprise the empty strings of the electric bass. To avoid you being confined to a single key as a result of the empty strings, do try and present the pieces with the use of a capodaster. This will also sound more interesting for your audience. You can play all of the songs on your own. Should you, however, find someone interested in playing an accompaniment on the guitar, you will find a second part in slightly smaller print beneath your own part. You might Iike to ask your accompanist or teacher, whether he or she would fancy presenting the pieces together. In case you should you prefer to play thesongs with a group of instrumentalists, I have added chord diagrams to the music. The closing part of this edition contains a glossary, which will provide you with useful and interesting information about the songs.
