This book is essentially about change management. The book sets out to provide an overview of change management and then introduces different theories of change such as: Types of change; Diagnosis and preparing for change; Force field analysis; and How change can be implemented in an organisation. The book provides insight into hands-on experiences involving change and on how cases of change can be resolved in an organisation that is hostile. This book further investigates the culture of organisations and how mindset can be changed from resistance to acceptance so as to change from negative aspects to positive realities. Changing mindset requires changing attitudes, and the right attitudes will mean having the right behaviour towards change while the right behaviour calls for changing mindset that is focused in an organisation and that can turn negative to positive thinking and have staff that give attention to details. Change requires the right thinking so that the right decision can be made in an organisation. In addition, the book talks about how change can be sustained in an environment that is hostile. Change can make a poor boy become the king of the land and make people rich at the end of the road. Whatever can be changed, can be managed. Change follows a good structure and without it, it may face resistance. Resistance follows change and if it fails, surgery follows. All in all, change in an organisation is not easy. It requires effort from all other departments of the organisation to realise the potential of change and how it can be unlocked in an organisation.
