En Panamá, se han observado 59 especies de colibríes. Algunos de ellos son migratorios, pero aún así juegan un papel significante durante su permanencia en el país. Este libro es el trabajo del ingeniero Ralph Dessau y representa el resultado de su estudio de 8 años de los colibríes de Panamá, con 49 fotografías en color y una lista de los colibríes que se encuentran en Panamá con sus nombres en inglés, español y con su clasificación científica.
