As the fourth most common malignancy and the second leading cause of cancer mortality in China, liver cancer poses a serious threat to the life and health of the Chinese. Xiaoping Chen is a Professor and Chairman at Department of Surgery, Tongji Hospital, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, Hubei, China. He is also the Academician of Chinese Academy of Science.
