In London's St. Pancras Station, there's a pigeon pacing up and down the platform, tickets and passport in hand, looking for his train. He doesn't want to miss it! Take a trip to Paris in There's a Pigeon in St. Pancras! This rollicking, rhyming tale follows a curious English pigeon on a trip to France's capital. The lyrical story will introduce children to the wonders of train travel, amazing museums and monuments, and the quaint neighborhoods and restaurants that make Paris special. Amanda's illustrations are light and fun, with imagery that will keep children engaged the entire trip. There's a Pigeon in St. Pancras is the latest title in the collection of award-winning children's books by creator Ruth Amanda. Inspired by an actual pigeon the author observed while waiting for her husband in St. Pancras International at the end of a European adventure. This was an unusual pigeon. A sophisticated pigeon. A world traveller, clearly! He paced the platform occasionally glancing at the clock then at the numbers on the trains. At one point, he wandered up to a nearby conductor and began flapping his wings to get the conductors attention before giving up. Clearly he was concerned that he not miss his train! Equally clearly, he must be worried about getting on the wrong train. And so began the imagining of where the pigeon was going and why was he going there? Any more details and people will cry "spoiler alert"! Therefore, I leave you to do the obvious and purchase this book and embark on your own imaginings...
