This book is divided into four main sections: 1) "What is Radiation?" explains what radiation is and its electromagnetic and particle forms, 2) "What Are We Doing That's Generating Artificial Radiation, Anyway?" informs about the many devices and technologies in our lives that generate artificial radiation, 3) "How Might Radiation From Artificial Sources Be Affecting Our Health And Environment" reveals the many ways in which artificial radiation is negatively impacting our health and environment, and 4) "How Is Belize Dealing With Electromagnetic And Particle Radiation?" in which we learn what Belize is doing to address radiation, and what we can do to minimize our exposure. A glossary is provided to further explain unfamiliar words and terms used, and a reference list of sources consulted is included for readers who may wish to further investigate some of the topics covered.
