Natalie Dietrich Jones is Senior Research Fellow at the Sir Arthur Lewis Institute of Social and Economic Studies, The University of the West Indies, Mona. Her research interests include geographies of the border, managed migration, and intra-regional migration in the Caribbean.

NOWHERE IS THE NOTION THAT GLOBALIZATION IS A double-edged sword better understood than in the Caribbean. The conception, and comprehension of everyday life, find clarity, with stark definition, in all aspects of civil society, systems of production, and relations with the world beyond.
