Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

David Barkin received his Ph.D. at Yale University and is Professor of Economics at the Metropolitan University. He is a co-founder of the Ecodevelopment Center in Mexico, and a member of the country's National Research Council. He has extensive experience working with indigenous and peasant groups in promoting stategies for food self-sufficiency and more recently, sustainable regional resource management programs. He has published more than 20 books on subjects related to stategies for development.
