This book is a collection of the Responsa which Rabbi David Golinkin published in Moment magaszine from 1990-1996. The goal of theose columns was to show the way in which Jewish Law grappes with modern ethical and legal dilemmas such as "Returning Territories for the Sake of Peace:, "Institutionalizing Parents with Alzheimer's Disease", "Genetic Engineering", "Is It a Mitzvah to Make Aliyah?" and more. The book is organized according to the order of the Shulhan Arukh, the bibliography has been updated and a chapter was added on "The Whys and Hows of Conservative Judaism".

Biografía del autor

Rabbi Prof. David Golinkin is the President and Jerome and Miriam Katzin Professor of Jewish Studies at the Schechter Institute of Jewish Studies in Jerusalem. He is the author or editor of over 40 books and over 200 articles including The Responsa of the Va'ad Halakhah, The Status of Women in Jewish Law, and The Responsa of Prof. Louis Ginzberg.
