Alan D. Abbey is the publisher of the online edition of The Jerusalem Post and is a pioneer in the field of online journalism. He has helped create several Israeli websites, including Virtual Jerusalem and the Israel division of the Internet & IT Network. Abbey's journalism career spans more than twenty-five years and includes White House coverage, investigative reporting, and award-winning editing. He has served as reporter and editor at newspapers in New York, New Jersey, Oregon, Vermont, and Washington, D.C. He has published articles in the New York Times, New York Post, The Forward, Industry Standard, The Jerusalem Post, Dimension, and many other magazines, newspapers and websites. In 1999, Abbey and his family moved to Jerusalem, where, as he likes to say, he and his staff cover more news in a week than most American journalists see in their careers.
