About the book >.>.> The Dianchi type bronze culture was distributed around Dianchi area today, fanning out to Lunan and Luxi in the east, Yuanjiang in the south, Anning and Lufeng in the west, and Qujing and Zhaotong in the north. This large expanse was once the domain of the Dian, an ancient kingdom built by ethnic tribes of the southwest that existed from the mid 5th century BC to the 1st century AD. It was a branch of the ancient Yue people and traditionally named as the Dian tribe. In the Western Han dynasty, during the reign of Emperor Wudi, the Dian kingdom was absorbed as a prefecture of the Han Empire. During the rule of the Dian kingdom, there was a blossom of a unique indigenous and ethnic culture, and the spectacular Dian bronzes were essential element of the Dian culture. Since 1955, the discoveries of important Dian burial sites like Shizaishan in Jinning county. Lijiashan in Jiangchuan county, Batatai in Qujing county, Taijishan in Anning county, and Yangfutou in Guandu District have unearthed more than 10,000 Dian bronzes. T. Artikel-Nr.
