Mr. Levin comes to Bogota in 1938 to open up a watch shop in a small building in a modest neighborhood. His neighbor is Mrs. Blanca, a school teacher. This amazingly detailed picture book shows the passage of time over the ensuing decades as these two characters age and the neighborhood changes. In the 1980s, a young boy named Ivan moves into one of the floors with his family and life in the building takes on a completely different hue.
