Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Originally from Maine, Josh Howell studied creative writing at Colorado College, and won nearly every literary prize offered at the school before graduating in 1995 and setting out to see the world. Since then, he’s fished for salmon in Alaska’s Cook Inlet, taught inner city youth to kayak on the rivers of western Maine, worked as a carpenter on the island of Nantucket, and traveled extensively throughout South America.

Josh first arrived in Chile in 1997, and has since made his home in the country’s spectacular lake region, where he is building a home in the foothills of the Andes, bringing an end to a decade-long cycle of nomadism. He continues to work actively in travel and sustainable development through his company, Andean Travel, and is planning a number of new publishing projects.
