This book presents the humane Finnish contemporary architecture. It covers ten architectural objects, with all of them showing the same human approach to the purpose of use and the environment of the respective of buildings. Juha Leiviskä, Pentti Kareoja, Seppo Häkli and Sari Nieminen, for example, are presented here; just to mention some of the designers of the buildings that are introduced in this book.. The presented objects vary from school buildings to laboratories, from day-care centres to funeral chapels. The photographs are taken by Jussi Tiainen and the introductory texts for the presented buildings are by the respective designer architects. Jussi Tiainen (born 1954) is well known Finnish architectural photographer. He has done several books about Finnish architecture. He has shown many architectural photography exhibitions in more than 25 different countries.
