Sylvia came to Rotterdam for love and never left. She has lived in Rotterdam West for many years but feels at home in the entire city. Her favourite pastime? Recommending restaurants to friends and family – whether they ask for it or not. But only after she’s tried them herself, of course. She also loves hunting for vintage gems in and around Zwaanshals, having wine and bitterballen at her favourite bar Café Steijn, or taking a stroll around Kralingse Plas. Dreamer, fashion-lover, and wannabe surf girl Lotte is a Rotterdam-based freelance journalist. Besides writing, she loves to travel – preferably to sunny spots known for their cuisine – dance to soul, house, or R&B tunes, and get her hands on vintage finds. She grew up near Rotterdam, and no matter how busy she is travelling the world, this creative city will always have her heart.
