K. K. Babu obtained his B.Sc. Engineering from Government Engineering College, Thrissur, ME from IISc Bangalore and Ph.D. from Cochin University of Science and Technology. He joined N.S.S College of Engineering, Palakkad in 1983 and served there for 25 years. From 2008 to 2020 he was Principal in a few self-financing engineering colleges. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers (India), the Indian Geotechnical Society, and the Institution of Valuers. He is also a member of the Indian Roads Congress and the Indian Society for Technical Education. He is a Professional Engineer (India) and IBBI registered valuer. An active consultant, he has undertaken many research projects and authored several papers in technical journals and conference proceedings.
K.S. Beena obtained her Ph. D from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. She has more than thirty years of teaching and research experience in the field of Geotechnical Engineering, contributing a number of papers in international journals and conferences. She is a recipient of the prestigious Endeavour Fellowship award from the Government of Australia. She has undertaken many funded research projects and produced eeight Ph. D degrees under her guidance. Presently, she is Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Cochin University of Science and Technology and Professor in Civil Engineering, School of Engineering, CUSAT. She is also an active consultant in the area of geotechnical engineering, ground improvement, and ground disaster management.
A.K. Raji obtained her B.Tech. from Mar Athanasius College of Engineering, Kothamangalam and M Tech. and Ph.D. from NIT Calicut. She started her career as lecturer in Civil Engineering in N S S College of Engineering, Palakkad in 1987 and retired as Professor and Head of the Department in 2020. She is a recipient of the Young Scientist award, Kerala Science Congress (1996) and Young Scientist Merit Award, Indian Science Congress (1997). She has undertaken many funded research projects and authored forty-five papers in technical journals and conference proceedings. She is a consultant to many governmental and nongovernmental organizations. She is a member of the Institution of Engineers (India), Indian Roads Congress, and Indian Society for Technical Education.
