Guru Nanak was a great champion of love and brotherhood in humanity. In a process of bridging the gap between two great religions namely Hinduism and Islam, he evolved a very powerful revolutionary and reformatory thesis of his own. This religious consciousness that he evolved is based on seeking, learning and contemplation which formed a basis for Sikhism. God being the mainstay and absolute truth that exists in the religious consciousness of India people, it was possible to create a thesis that is so revolutionary in the contemporary time period and without bloodshed. if at all bloodshed happened, it was willingly sacrificed to preserve human rights and convictions in the faith of self and others. Guru Nanak's thesis on the oneness of God and its Universal nature is not only a positive impulse and force but also a value system that is necessary to restore world peace and Human Brotherhood.
