Dr. Darshpreet Kaur (PT) and Dr. (Prof.) Gunjan Kumar are a distinguished clinician-researcher duo whose collaborative work has significantly advanced facial nerve rehabilitation in India. Dr. Darshpreet Kaur is a specialist in neuro-rehabilitation and evidence-based physiotherapy, while Dr. (Prof) Gunjan Kumar is an experienced neurologist with expertise in diagnosing and managing complex neurological disorders. Together, they lead Neuro Vihar, one of Bihar's most advanced integrated neurology and physiotherapy centers, with expanding services in Patna, Danapur, and Jalandhar (Punjab). During the COVID-19 pandemic, they identified critical gaps in conventional Bell's palsy management, particularly in patients with synkinesis and delayed recovery. Their observations led to the development of Darsh-Gunjan's Bell's Palsy Treatment Protocol(c), India's first government-copyrighted protocol dedicated exclusively to facial nerve rehabilitation. Their work has improved functional recovery, reduced long-term complications, and continues to shape precision-based rehabilitation practices across India.
