The story of the Samudra Manthan (churning of the ocean) is a mythological tale that teaches us the importance of intelligence, strength, courage, and patience in achieving any goal. By adhering to righteousness, the Devs were able to receive the support of Lord Vishnu, and they eventually regained everything they had lost. The task of churning the ocean was a difficult one, and in the struggle between the Devs and demons, the Devs ultimately triumphed, drinking the nectar of immortality (Amrit) and becoming immortal. In modern times, this tale emphasizes the need for **self-reflection** (Atma-Manthan) in humans. The poet draws attention to the vital necessity of eliminating negative traits and impurities that arise within us, highlighting that just as the Devs succeeded through perseverance, we too must engage in inner reflection to overcome personal flaws.
