Trespassing - Softcover

Inhaltsangabe

The poems balance simplicity with philosophical depth, proving that meaningful poetry does not require elaborate language. Instead, they rely on genuine feeling, vivid imagery, and thoughtful reflection to create an intimate reading experience.

The Game

This poker game
has been going on
much longer than I’ve been alive.
But I’m all-in—
bets and raises—
until I’m nearly broke,
nothing but this leather casing I own.
So I throw that in,
and the pot’s huge,
my life at risk.
After you’ve made it this far
there’s no turning back.
