In her third collection of poems, Sen explores the multitude of emotions that we experience in our lives. Often, we are unprepared for the rush of feelings that we encounter when we come face to face with the fears and realities that we thought were far away in the rearview mirror. Objects in the Mirror are Closer than They Appear is a collection of occasional verses, different from its original genre in the essence that they are meant to be read in solitude.

Saswati Sen is an educator, an avid animal lover, and a food enthusiast who functions on coffee, and long walks by the beach and trails of the Eastern shore of Maryland. When she is not holed up in her study, reading, or writing, she looks for an excuse to travel to small towns and little-known destinations to sample the local food, art, and music scene. She loves thunderstorms, rainbows, and blizzards, and believes that cats have superpowers.
