Rachappa Shette is currently working as an Associate Professor in finance, accounting and control areas at the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode, Kerala, India. Prior to this, he worked as faculty at the National Institute of Securities Markets (established by Securities and Exchange Board of India), Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, and at the School of Business Management, Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai, India. Before this, he was a Lecturer at the University College of Commerce and Business Management, Osmania University, Hyderabad, India. His primary areas of teaching and research include financial reporting, financial statement analysis, earnings management and cost management. He teaches in postgraduate and executive programmes. He has trained middle-level executives and senior executives of more than 20 companies in the last 20 years in the area of accounting.
