A Shadow of Memories - Hardcover

Inhaltsangabe

In A Shadow of Memories, Tripti Bhatt reminds us that memories are all that survives from our past. Who we are today is a result of our experiences and memories. The new memories we create every moment dissolve into those from the past and become a permanent part of our persona. It's these memories-those of hope, love, loss, transience, among many others-that are captured beautifully and poignantly in this collection of poems by Tripti Bhatt. A young officer of the Indian Police Service, Tripti's love for poetry dates back to her school days. Her poems reflect a sense of nostalgia and melancholy and she writes on a wide variety of themes, including life, emotions, youth, achievement, and all that she considers significant. The symbolism in her writing is unmistakable and everlasting. While Tripti's voice is representative of a generation that is grappling with the paradoxes of modern day life and the temporariness it brings forth, this passionate and moving collection will resonate with readers across generations.
