ABOUT THE AUTHOR Jesmine Ahmed, currently teaching in the Department of Political Science Assam University, Diphu Campus as a Guest faculty. She is pursuing her Ph.D.in the same department. She has completed her M.A. in Political Science from Guwahati University and M.Phil. from Assam University. She has more than two years of teaching experience at Post-Graduate and Under Graduate level. She has qualified UGC-NET. Her area of interest is International Relations and Geo-Politics. She has written more than ten research articles in repute journals towards her credit. Rita Saikia is a Ph.D. scholar in the Department of Political Science, Assam University, Diphu Campus. She has completed her Master of Arts in Political Science from Dibrugarh University. She has published several articles on ethnicity, women empowerment, rural development, Indo- US relationship, Indo-Afghanistan relationship etc. She has also qualified State Eligibility Test conducted by North-East Region.
