The Rev. Dr. D.J. Ajith Kumar currently serves as the General Secretary of the Church of North India (CNI). He is an ordained Presbyter of the CNI Phulbani Diocese. Originally from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, South India, he came to serve in North India in 1993 along with his family. He has been actively involved in various spiritual and social activities since 1980. Before he entered the ordained ministry, he established four Christian Ashrams in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, and Madhya Pradesh. Having graduated in Theology from the Senate of Serampore College (University), Dr. Ajith Kumar obtained a Master of Theology from the University of Wales (UK) and earned a Doctorate (PhD) in Sociology from Annamalai University, specializing in 'Education and Tribal Development'. He is the author of more than thirty academic and devotional books and has also composed and arranged music for numerous Christian songs.
