About The Author

Maj Gen Balraj Mehta comes from a family made ‘Refugee’ during partition of India. Having been born after more than a decade of this relocation, they still had to face numerous challenges for next two decades before they found their footings again.

Their inherent family values not only kept them going but helped reinforce the message of the universal appeal and relevance of the Three Rustic Rules.

Maj Gen Balraj Mehta lived the values of honesy, respect and discipline to progress from as he says ‘One Star on His Shoulders to Two Stars on His Car Flag’. He is a veteran of 35 years of service in Olive Greens with 10 awards for gallantry and distinguished service including the Sena Medal. He has lived an exemplary family life - having raised two outstandingly professional sons with Dr Shalini Mehta- his wife since last 40 years.

His passion lies in transforming young lives because he has internalized what Frederick Douglass once said,” It is easy to build strong children than to repair broken men”
