This examines the papyrus books collected by Plato himself, a habit which began when he was still 'studying' under Socrates and continued throughout his years of teaching in the Academy. Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Konstantinos Staikos is an Architect and a Book Historian. He has designed libraries for historical foundations, such as of the Monastery of St John the Theologian in Patmos, which dates from the 12th century. He is the author of the Great Libraries and the six volumes series of the History of the Library in Western Civilization.
