Since fifteen years the Ismu Report represents a useful and accurate instrument devised for getting information and for increasing and broadening our knowledge of the different aspects of the migratory situation in Italy. This year, the Report is focusing in particular on some extremely relevant issues, as for example, developments in laws and regulations on immigration, labour market, education, and consumption referred to a population that in 2009 has reached almost five million units. A specific chapter of this Report is dedicated to a detailed analysis of migrations in Lombardy.
