Man the Symbolizer (Analecta Gregoriana, 222, Band 222) - Softcover

The author’s theory of symbols and symbolizing as a properly human operation is set against a basic philosophy of human being. Starting with descriptions of concrete experiences, he reflects on their structures, moves to a philosophical differentiation of human conscious and intentional operations, and indicates the opening upon divine revelation and theology in his final treatment of more than merely human symbolizing.
