Luigi Ghirri set an example, it goes without saying. Through their effective power, his images have become "icons" and an inspiration to photographers, who have developed his ideas in countless directions. The ninth edition of "Fotografia Europea" is dedicated to his "thinking through images". Photographs make us see things never before seen, make us see differently, make us see in the sense of an invitation to look. Images that reveal the infinity of the world and the internal infinity of the gaze. All reflected, for an endless instant, in our eyes, which become the mirror of the world.
