Reseña del editor:
A true story of friendship, heroism and rock and roll. The intimate diary of a highly emotional journey that starts on a stormy night in a WWII military cemetery. A call from the past - the chronicle of events in real peoples' lives from 1944 to 2010. Part memoir, part history, part travelogue with lots of music. The author, a touring rock musician, acts as a conduit between the generations, bringing forgotten acts of courage and dedication back to life, and explores the different kinds of love between friends, lovers and family. The book transports you into the world of a British family actively involved in both World Wars. If you enjoy reading about human relationships and destinies, you will find some extraordinary characters and events here.
Biografía del autor:
I've been a guitarist and composer all my working life, on stage and in the studio. I toured with Gilbert 'o' Sullivan, played guitar with John McCoy and Mammoth, gigged with Bill Hurley, Nick Graham. I composed the music for an Audio Visual project for the Battersea Power Station as well as tracks for Ricky Gervais' Cemetery Junction trailer (along with Nick Graham) 'The Gift - a story of friendship, heroism and rock and roll' is my first book. It is 95% true, covering a rock and roll life style on the road, WWII heroes and emotionally charged real life events. The action moves between 1944 and 2010. I recorded a CD that is linked to 'The Gift' - several tracks are directly related to events that unfold in the story.. 'Sergio', 'The Last Post', 'The Last Resort' and 'Nocturne Nr 7' in particular. http://www.brucereynoldsmusic.com/Dedication.html
