The Authentic Spanish Deck

Taschenbuch. Zustand: Neu. Neuware - The deck our grandmothers used to find answersIn post-war Spain, many women sat down at the kitchen table with an ordinary deck of playing cards and looked in it for what nobody else could give them: an answer, a comfort, a way back to the people they had lost. The Authentic Spanish Deck is Margarita Arnal Moscardó's tribute to those women, and in particular to her grandmother Luisa, from whom she inherited the knowledge gathered here. The result of exhaustive research, this book reveals the secrets of the Spanish deck used for divination: the meaning of each card, the decisive role of the cards bearing queens, and the symbolism of one of the oldest and least documented reading systems in Spanish culture. What you will find inside- The meaning of every card in the Spanish deck when read for divination.- Why the queens are decisive, and how to interpret them.- The historical roots of this tradition and the symbolism behind it.- A practical guide to self-knowledge and to the paths open to you.Who this book is forFor anyone who wants to learn cartomancy without buying a special deck, and for readers drawn to folk knowledge that very nearly disappeared. This title is part of The Tarot Library, the collection bringing together Margarita Arnal Moscardó's complete work on card reading.
