Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor
Rafael BACHILLER. Es director del Observatorio Astronómico Nacional (OAN). Doctor en Física por las Universidades Joseph Fourier y Complutense, es especialista en el estudio de la formación estelar. De entre sus aportaciones científicas destaca el descubrimiento de protoestrellas de tipo solar de las más jóvenes que se conocen hoy en día (los llamados objetos de "Clase 0"). Estudiando estas protoestrellas tan jóvenes, descubrió que eyectan unos flujos bipolares con características extraordinarias: colimados y muy energéticos. Estos estudios han sido importantes para la reconstrucción de las primeras fases de la formación estelar. Ha publicado más de 250 artículos, de los que 190 han ido a revistas científicas de prestigio internacional donde han recibido miles de citas. Ha dirigido trabajos de tesis y postdoctorales, pronunciado conferencias en numerosos países, intervenido en medios de comunicación (prensa, radio) de manera regular, organizado cursos de astronomía y congresos científicos internacionales, etc.
