Tom Stoppard was born Thomas Straussler on July 3, 1937 in Zlin, Czechoslovakia. One can consider him as a post absurdist and his drama post-modernist. His drama doesn't lose itself to despair but soars above and assert certain human values which are basically lacking in modern world and heralds a new hope.
