Micro irrigation for Cash Crops consists of the practical aspects of design and operationlisation of drip irrigation in some of the important cash crops. It covers wide range of dedicated chapters on history of micro irrigation and its components filtration system emitter discharge and design procedures. The uniqueness of the publication is that it has crop wise design for micro irrigation system of important commercial crops like banana orange guava grapes pomegranate sugarcane cauliflower etc. The book also aims at educating the users about fault detection troubleshooting for clogging of drip lines etc. The exhaustive calculations and formulae provided would help the students researchers and the growers to scientifically install drip irrigation system for their crops. These calculations would act as a ready reckoner for installation of drip system by the farmers in their fields. The book dwells in detail the kind of filtration system which are available for drip irrigation emitter discharge operating pressure and emission uniformity. It also gives an idea on cost estimation for installation of drip irrigation in a model crop (sugarcane) which acts as an example to utilize such costing for other crops. One exclusive chapter on water management in vegetable crops covering the micro irrigation technologies that are suitable for vegetable crops would be of great value for commercial vegetable growers. The salient research findings in some of the important high value crops are included in a chapter to review the developments for the benefit of the readers. It is hoped that this publication would be of great significance for students researchers progressive farmers etc. 162 pp. Artikel-Nr. 62419
