Dr. Prakash S. Lohar, Head, Department of Biotechnology and Reader in Zoology, M.G.S.M's Arts, Science and Commerce College, Chopda (Dist. Jalgaon, Maharashtra) had his post graduation from University of Pune, M.Phil. from S.G. University, Surat and Ph.D. from Saurashtra University, Rajkot, with outstanding merit. He has 20 years of teaching experience in Physiology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics and Medical Laboratory Technology. His research interest ranges from environmental sciences, to cytogenetics, in silico drug designing, and rDNA technology. His research papers have been presented in many national and international symposia and he has published 24 research papers in well reputed journals. He is guiding M.Phil. and Ph.D. students for doing research in Zoology, Environmental Science, Biotechnology and Bioinformatics. He is the author of the comprehensive books Biotechnology, Endocrinology: Hormones and Human Diseases and Cell and Molecular Biology.
