The India- Pakistan Air War of 1965 - Hardcover

This is a good example of painstaking research by amateurs who are keenly interested in the subject-since there is a serious dearth of credible histories of wars and military matters in India. There are, of course, many examples of "cover my ass" books by retired generals and the like. This book is different as it seeks to give an unbiased account of the events in the air war in the 1965 war. Among other things, we learn about the serious reverses suffered by the IAF in the first few days of the war as well as the peculiar incidents such as the death of Gujarat's CM Balwantrai Mehta. --H. I have just been to 3rd chapter and I must say that its quite compelling to read more of it. Every chapter has been meticulously detailed and narrated. I would thank the author to bring such an important event in a neutral fashion. --Abhinav kumar
