The primary objective of any library is to provide the right information at the right time in the right form to its users. To meet this objective, libraries have to provide access to information irrespective of their form, format, and location. The current digital revolution has radically changed the way in which information is acquired, stored, processed, organized, retrieved, and disseminated. Present day libraries have to be redefined in order to meet the demands of the Knowledge Society. This volume focuses on how the needs of a technologically empowered academic community are met by technologically empowered academic libraries.
