Volume I of the FRCPath Part 1 Histopathology textbook covers the foundations of histopathology practice and the medical organ systems most heavily examined in the Part 1 paper. Twenty-three chapters across nine sections combine entity-by-entity exposition with single-best-answer questions in the two-paragraph FRCPath rationale style. Contemporary classifications — WHO 5th edition, AJCC TNM 8, RCPath and ICCR datasets, BSH guidelines, and NICE pathways — anchor the content throughout.
Built specifically for FRCPath Part 1 candidates and equivalent UK and international histopathology examinations including MRCPath, FCAP, FRCPA, EBP, and senior membership-level review.
Sections covered:
- Laboratory Foundations — tissue processing, staining, immunohistochemistry, molecular ancillaries
