While the Jainas showed their appreciation of Kalidasa's work by incorporating it in their sectarian literature, it was studied by both Southern and Northern Buddhists as well. I\ Singhalese paraphrase of it was discovered at Kandy by \v. (lunatilaka, and was published, along with the Sanskrit text, by the on. T. Li. (colombo, The 'l'aajar contains a 'l'ibetan translation of the which has been edited and translated into German by Dr. Lleekh (lierlin, wot). 'l'he Singhalese yersion includes seten and the 'l'aujur six of the spurious yerscs.
