Appendices to the book contain universal declaration of Human Rights and the protection of human rights., About The Author:- Dr. Rani Mehta, born in Mauritius, was awarded Ph.D. in Sociology by the Punjab University, Chandigarh in December 2003. This book is based on doctoral research work entitled "Role Perception, Expectation and Performance of Teachers in a university system" which she carried out on the UGC-NET Fellowship. Dr. Mehta has an excellent academic record to her credit. Besides, having a first class positions throughout her academic career, she has been awarded Gold Medal by the Punjab University, Chandigarh, for standing first in M.A. Sociology examination in 1999. She is also a recipient of Gadgil Gold Medal of Punjab University, Chandigarh for standing first in all the social sciences subjects in 1999. Further, apart from a silver medal, she has also been awarded a Merit Scholarship of Punjab University, Chanigarh (Baba Prithvi Singh Azad Scholarship) for standing first in M.A. Part I examination in 1998. She has also got Haryana Government Merit Scholarship to pursue her M.A. (Sociology) studies for standing first in . The subject at graduate level. Both as a senior Research Fellow and as a Guest Faculty, she has taught sociology to M.A. students of Punjab University, Chandigarh (2003-04). As a Junior Research Fellow, she has also taught sociology to B.Sc. (Nursing) students at the College of Nursing , PGI, Chandigarh (2001).
