The rapid development of generative artificial intelligence is reshaping how university students learn, think, communicate, and write, bringing with it both exciting possibilities and complex educational challenges. This book is grounded in a simple but important principle: AI should augment rather than replace human writing, teaching, and learning. The central question is therefore not whether AI can generate fluent or polished academic texts, but how students can use these technologies critically, ethically, creatively, and reflectively while continuing to develop their own intellectual independence and distinctive voices as writers. From this perspective, generative AI is treated not as a substitute for human thought but as a pedagogical partner that can enrich brainstorming, planning, drafting, feedback, revision, language development, and self-regulated learning. At the same time, meaningful AI-supported writing requires more than technical proficiency; it demands critical judgment, ethical awareness, and a willingness to question and verify what AI produces.
