Poverty has remained an issue in Nigeria and its manifestation has earned the country the poverty capital of the world by the World Bank. The increasing level of poverty necessitated the introduction of the National Social Investment Programme by the Buhari Administration in 2016. The Programme comprised of N-power, Conditional Cash Transfer, Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme and the Home Grown School Feeding Programme made available graduate youths, petty traders, artisans and local farmers in Nigeria. This work therefore investigate social investment programme and poverty reduction in Lokoja Local Government Kogi State anchored on qualitative and quantitative data. Findings revealed that its implementation had direct impacts on the beneficiaries, the study therefore recommends that more need to done in the Programme with a view to sustaining it. Also, the policy should be complemented with other policies to address the rising cases of poverty and unemployment in the country.
