This book discussed a sex-structured fractional-order model to examine syphilis transmission across multiple disease stages, incorporating memory effects using the Caputo-Fabrizio derivative. Calibrated with real data, the model accurately captures observed trends and shows that memory effects prolong infection persistence. Results revealed gender differences in infection patterns, with transmission and treatment rates identified as key drivers of disease dynamics. It was concluded that effective control requires early diagnosis, prompt treatment, and targeted, sex-specific interventions, demonstrating the value of fractional-order modeling in understanding complex epidemiological systems.
