This work, which focuses on work, youth, and public policy, presents an important discussion on public policies aimed at integrating young people into the labor market, focusing on Ponta Grossa, a city located in the Campos Gerais region of the state of Paraná. Based on empirical research and theoretical reflection, the author critically and thoroughly analyzes the dimension of professional qualification as public policy, as well as its scope and limitations for the integration of young people into the labor market.
