As Africa develops through decades, new technology has the potential to improve economic development of the continent. In this book the authors investigated the ability of companies to adopt disruptive technology in emerging economy context. The authors considering VoIP-Mobile (mVoIP) as a proxy of disruptive technology construct, and South Africa as an appropriate context for emerging economies. The main goal of this book is to examine the likelihood adoption of VoIP-Mobile in the low-end business to business market, particularly focusing in the Small to Medium Enterprise market in South Africa. In addition to this objective the aim was to explore the legitimacy of the 8 hypotheses that were the result of an extensive up-to-date literature review. This book explores the opportunity VOIP has to offer to small and medium enterprises, while the study results provide theoretical and profound managerial insights.
